What size should I get?

We recommend checking out the sizing chart when picking the size!

Will they stay up during games?

Yes. The stretchable sleeve with the grip bands holds the shin gaurds flat against the shin on its own, so there's nothing to tape, strap, or pull back up at halftime.

How well does it protect?

Light doesn't mean flimsy. The EVA foam stiffens on impact to absorb the hits, so it stays light while they run and firm when hit. It covers the whole front of the shin, not just a small patch.

What if my kid won't wear them?

Most shin guards are bulky, itchy, and slide down, so kids learn to hate them. We made these feel like a sock but protect like armor, so the pre-game fight can finally end. If your  kid still won't wear them, send them back within 99 days and we'll refund you.

How do I wash them?

Match Day guards are made to last and built to take the same beating as any shin guard on the field. To get the most life out of them, we recommend washing them with warm water on a delicate cycle and let them air dry.

Are these allowed in games?

Yes. Match Day guards meet necessary standards for match play, so they're good for league games, tournaments and practice.

Are they really protective if they're this light?

Yes. Our proprietary EVA foam firms up on contact to absorb the hit, and at just 1 oz per guard, there's no bulk to fight.

Can my kid put them on by themselves?

Yes. They slide on like a sock, so there are no straps to fasten and no fiddly pieces to line up before the game.

Do the shin guards go under the socks? Won't it get too hot?

Yes, they go on first and the sock pulls right over the top. The sleeve is temperature-regulating and dries quickly, so it keeps your kid comfortable through hot games, and it resists odor so the gear bag stays fresh.

Are they okay for sensitive skin?

Yes. The sleeve is soft and skin-friendly with no hard edges, so it won't dig in or rub the way plastic guards can.

Should I buy two pairs?

It's handy for laundry days. One pair goes in the wash while the other is ready for the next game, and the 2-pair bundle saves you money too.
